About Me

I have attended A.C.E. for six years and am proud to say I have participated in two Zimbabwe Student Conventions and on both occasions receiving nominations for the All African Student Convention. With the help of many dedicated people I have had the privilege to make the journey and participate in the All African Student Convention in 2006 and now in 2007. I received nomination for the International Student Convention in 2006 but it was reveled it was not in Gods plan for me to attend. At the end of last year I again gratefully received nomination for the 2008 International Student Convention. We believe this year we are going to do everything in our power to attend such a life-changing experience and leave it in Gods hands to decide if it is to be. I, and all my fellow students thank you for all your support and generosity towards our life-changing goal!

Why?

Why do I, Hennie Koen, want to attend the 2008 International Student Convention? I want to experience everything God has in store for me! I want to pursue this amazing talent God has given to me and see it to its full capability and I believe the International Student Convention is the next big step. I believe this is the opportunity of a life time and I want the opportunity to use my talent to Gods Glory. I leave it in Gods capable hands to decide how far this talent He has given me will go.

How?

We live in a testing time in our country and have found it to be a great challenge raising enough money to attend the All Africa Student Convention. Imagine the struggle we are facing to attend the International Student Convention half way across the world! We have had nothing but support from our Monitors, Supervisors, and parents. I am thankful we have their eagerness and excitement pushing us along. We have a number of generous donators and sponsors helping us along the way but we desperately call out to any form of donations or any help what so ever. I would be so grateful for any assistance we receive.

Achievements

At the Zimbabwe Student Convention in 2006 I was nominated for, silver in 800m, bronze in 100m and bronze in 200m. Happily we went to the All Africa Student Convention and I was nominated for, gold in the relay, and bronze in 800m. In 2007 at the Zimbabwe Student Convention I was nominated for, gold U19 long jump, gold 4x100m relay, gold U19 high jump. Silver for U19 200m, silver for U19 100m, and silver for U19 800m. Bronze for U19 discus and a nomination for photography. The most appreciated medal I received was the Character Trait. Again, happily we went to the All Africa Student Convention and I am now nominated for the International Student convention for silver U19 800m and a nomination for U19 long Jump.
