About Chipo

CHIPO MAGWEDEBURE was born on 25 April 1989 to Sherry Magwedebure at Summerhill Farm. She is the 6th child of 8. Her two oldest sisters have died, leaving 1 niece and 2 nephews. Chipo’s mother and father, Mr. Yotamu, divorced when she was small. He passed away in 2006.

Chipo was in grade 2 at Greenfields Primary School when she was 14. She did very poorly in school until she and her siblings came to live at Eden Children’s Village and began attending Eden Christian Academy.

Chipo is a cute girl with a beautiful smile. Chipo has shown much improvement in the past year. She still requires quite a bit of structure, but not as much as she did early on.

Chipo attended the Zimbabwe Student Convention in July 2007 and was nominated to attend the All Africa Convention in S. Africa in December 2007 due to her running. She participated in photography, knitting, large and small ensemble, 100 m run, 200 m run, 400 m relay and 1600 m relay. In S. Africa she ran well and was nominated to attend the ACE International Student Convention to run in the 1600 meter relay. She will also particapte in photography, knitting and small ensemble. We are trusting God will provide the funds needed to make this happen.

When asked what she would like to do with her life, she says she would like to be a nurse or a singer.
